Replace or Repair
Components for aircraft, helicopters, marine and high performance industrial equipment must meet exacting criteria of performance, reliability, and safety, which may require not only expensive metals and alloys but costly machining operations as well. The result is high initial costs and equally unacceptable replacement costs.
As components wear or become damaged in use, often prematurely, the parent assembly must be removed and replaced with new components to return the equipment to service. “New Replacement” parts are often costly and have long delivery lead times recurring the user to stock expensive replacement parts or wait for delivery. The alternative to “new replacement” is to repair the worn or damaged part to OEM standards at a price, comfort level and turn time that allows a favorable “replace or repair” decision.
